UIL High School
UIL High School Number Sense practice tests
Practice High School Number Sense on 43 released tests and 3,440 problems — Invitational A and B, District, Region and State, 2017-18 through 2025-26 — from arithmetic to calculus.
The contest
- 80 mental-math problems in 10 minutes
- +5 for each correct answer; −4 for each wrong answer or each problem skipped before the last one attempted; blanks after the last attempted problem cost nothing
- Every 10th problem is starred: any answer within 5% of the exact value counts
In Academic Ace
- Problems shown as text where text is faithful, and as UIL printed them where the math needs it — radicals, determinants, integrals, sums
- The same contest keypad as A+ Number Sense: fractions, mixed numbers, decimals and negatives
- Fractions in lowest terms; an improper fraction, a mixed number or an exact decimal all count unless the problem names a form, as UIL's Handbook says
- Reinforce mode for the problems you missed, and a review with the correct answers; where UIL's key is wrong, the app grades the right answer and says why
